Serious gothbowlers disapprove of the carnival atmosphere brought on by the presence of "FUNachos". We are not here for mere "fun", but to fulfill our darkest destiny. Anything more frivolous than a Frito has no place here.

Foregoing the bar was a large step away from gothdom, but Showtime Bowl does deserve an extra goth point for offering comfort fit prophylactics vending by the rental counter, since you never know where that bowling shoe fetish may lead you. The next counter offers the indispensable Forrest's Hand Conditioner which may not be as alluring, but much to our relief, "Keeps Hands Normal".

Showtime Bowl's decor is reminiscent of the late seventies grandpa's recroom movement, with wood paneling as the dominant feature. The score pad offers a tantalizing cocktail button, though alas, it did nothing when pressed. They could have really upped their points by sending out a waiter in stilettos and a latex maid's uniform bearing Pepsi's, but they totally missed the boat on that one. Perhaps there is hope that proprietors of this establishment will be mature and open to critique, and will consider adding this service in the future.

While many alleys offer "Glow in the Dark" bowling, few execute it with the enthusiasm of Showtime Bowl. Their own special "Odyssey 2001" program includes not only the obvious music one would expect with that theme, but also a slide show and appropriately timed fog machines obliterating all view of the pins, making the game that much more of a challenge.
